Naming The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County in your wills & trusts now benefits our community in the future.

  • Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
  • No one knows what the greatest needs will be tomorrow, next year or years from now. Your gift can address those future needs, or you can specify a program or nonprofit organization to benefit from your gift.

Specific or General Bequest

With a specific or general bequest, you designate The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County to receive a specific dollar amount or specific property in your wills & trusts.

“I give (specific property or $ ________ ) to The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County .”

“I give (all or ____ %) of the (residue of my estate or remaining trust assets) to The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County.”

Restricted Bequest

In your will or trust you may prefer to restrict your bequest for a specific purpose.
